Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Rabbi Nachman - 15 February 2020

In this week's satsang, Swami Shankarananda discussed the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Batslav. In this talk, Swamiji explored Nachman's method of Jewish meditation - hitbodedut. Swamiji discussed how Nachman's technique can be used to go beyond ego and as a method of Self-inquiry and mantra. Swamiji also spoke about the emphasis Nachman placed on designating time each day for practice.

In this week's satsang, Swami Shankarananda gave a talk on his Guru, Baba Muktananda of Ganeshpuri, India. In this talk, Swamiji explored Baba's teachings on the creation of the world, knowing and experiencing God, the value of understanding the mind, the mantra and actively expanding consciousness.

Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Sri Ramana Maharshi - 1 Febuary 2020

In this weeks satsang, Swami Shankarananda gave a talk on the Indian sage, Sri Ramana Maharshi. Through a series of question and answers between Ramana and his devotees, Swamiji explored the sages teachings on searching for the Self, the right asana for meditation, dealing with thoughts and diving deep into the practice of Self-inquiry. Swamiji also shared the devotional writings and story of Ramana's devotee, Suri Nagamma.

Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Bhagavan Nityananda - 25 January 2020

In this weeks podcast, Swami Shankaranada explored the teachings of the mysterious sage, Bhagavan Nityananda. In this talk, Swamiji shared Baba Muktananda's devotional writings dedicated to his Guru, which explored Bhagavan's teachings on seeing things with equal discrimination and the practice of non-attachment. Through a series of Bhagavan's written aphorisms, Swamiji also discussed his teachings on consciousness, the many benefits of having a steady practice and being in 'the state of yoga'.

As is tradition on the eve of a Meditation Intensive, Swami Shankarananda gave a talk on his Guru, Baba Muktananda. In this talk, Swamiji explored Baba's teachings on Vedic philosophy, love, devotion, and the goal of meditation.

Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Swami Muktananda - 11 January 2020

In this weeks satsang, Swami Shankarananda opened The Ashram's Summer Meditation Retreat with a talk on his Guru, Baba Mukatananda. Through question and answers asked by devotee's of Baba, Swamiji shared his Guru's teachings on the desire for the highest, the use of psychedelics to reach higher states of consciousness, love of the inner Self and dissolving negative feelings.
