Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Baba Muktananda - 4 April 2020

In this week's satsang, Swami Shankarananda shared the teaching's of his Guru, Baba Muktananda. In this talk, Swamiji explored Baba's wisdom on the concept of oneness, balancing the three gunas through practice and the Guru-disciple relationship. This talk also includes ten minutes of healing mantras chanted during satsang.

Swamiji also shared the teachings of his Guru, Baba Muktananda on fear and desire, finding the divine in everything, and making friends with your mind.

In this week's satsang, Swamiji gave a talk on the teachings of his Guru, Baba Muktananda. In this talk, Swamiji talked about the current world issues and yoga. He shared from a talk Baba gave as part of the Prison Project - sharing his teachings on creating your own atmosphere, working on negative tendencies, maintaining your spiritual practice in any environment and facing difficulties with positivity.

In this week's satsang, we celebrated Swami Shankarananda's birthday! In his talk, Swamiji shared from a talk Baba gave in 1979. It highlighted his teachings on welcoming people with love, connecting with the Self, renouncing negative thinking, worshipping what you know and attaining happiness through remembering the truth.

Through a series of question and answer sessions held during Swamiji's time in Baba's Ganeshpuri ashram, Swamiji explored Baba's teachings on visiting and spending time in holy places, the true meaning of a saint, rituals, the length of sadhana or spiritual journey, surrender and mantra practice.

In this week's special satsang, Swami Shankarananda celebrated the festival of Shivratri and the release of his greatly anticipated new book; 'Ganespuri Days: Memoirs of a Western Yogi'. To celebrate, Swamiji read from a talk his Guru, Baba Muktananda gave on Shivratri in the 70's as well as a speacial reading of a few chapters of his memoirs.

Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Rabbi Nachman - 15 February 2020

In this week's satsang, Swami Shankarananda discussed the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Batslav. In this talk, Swamiji explored Nachman's method of Jewish meditation - hitbodedut. Swamiji discussed how Nachman's technique can be used to go beyond ego and as a method of Self-inquiry and mantra. Swamiji also spoke about the emphasis Nachman placed on designating time each day for practice.

Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Sri Ramana Maharshi - 1 Febuary 2020

In this weeks satsang, Swami Shankarananda gave a talk on the Indian sage, Sri Ramana Maharshi. Through a series of question and answers between Ramana and his devotees, Swamiji explored the sages teachings on searching for the Self, the right asana for meditation, dealing with thoughts and diving deep into the practice of Self-inquiry. Swamiji also shared the devotional writings and story of Ramana's devotee, Suri Nagamma.
