Through the written stories of Baba's birthday events in Ganeshpuri, Swamiji discussed his teachings on greeting others with love and respect, seeing God in other people and the importance of knowing the inner Self.

In this weeks satsang, Swami Shankarananda celebrated Mother's Day by talking about the Indian saint Anandamayi Ma. Through dialogues between the saint and her devotees, Swamiji explores her teachings on the presence of anger, moving away from that which causes us to lose spiritual energy, self restraint, the importance of maintaining a steady practice and tapping into a higher connectivity.

Satsang with Swami Shankarananda: Kashmir Shaivism - 4 May 2019

This week in satsang, inspired by the recent retreat on the same topic, Swami Shankarananda gave a talk on the ancient Kashmir Shaivism principle of spanda. In this talk, Swamiji explored how we as yogis can get in touch with this principle and how it can show up in our inner world. Swamiji also discussed the thirty-six tattvas, Consciousness and the West’s opposition to the concept, the Shiva/Shakti relationship and the idea of embracing the world in our spiritual life.

This week in satsang, Swami Shankarananda discusses the life and teachings of the Indian Guru, Nisargadatta Maharaj. In this talk, Swamiji draws from a series of dialogues between Nisargadatta and travelling seekers who visited the saint in his small Mumbai apartment. Swamiji discuses several of Nisargadatta's teachings on the great mystery of "Who Am I?", the fundamental search for love, duality and the differences between experiencing something and theorising about it.
